Music & Performance

We love music and have always wanted to get ‘in the pit’ and get some shots of our favourite bands.  Through a love of the UK group Jamiroquai in the mid 1990′s David found himself in a position helping the band directly with both their website maintenance (he’s a bit of a ‘techy’ when not looking through a camera viewfinder!) and before long was given the opportunity to photograph the band at concerts both in the UK and overseas.  From the days with a borrowed SLR camera to now David has gained excellent experience and technical understanding of the difficulties of low light concert photography in high pressured environments.

Photos of Jamiroquai (it’s not all about lead singer Jay Kay you know!) have appeared all over the website, their facebook page (which has around 1.5 million ‘fans’) and more recently featured heavily in the official tour book for the bands 2011 ‘Rock Dust Light Star’ world tour.

But it’s not all Grammy Award winning rock stars… Live music is infectious and we’ve got some great shots and captured the moment at much smaller events – such as at one of the local jazz nights that’s held close to home and also at events as diverse as a Chinese Opera at a university in Central London.

We’ve had work featured in a number of websites and publications over the years including the following:

  • Official Jamiroquai website @ (including Facebook)
  • Official Jamiroquai 2011 Tour Book
  • BBC Proms 2007 (official programme)
  • Percussioni (magazine – Italy) (July/August 2006)
  • REAL (music group) gig flyers
